Slo just sent over another great review of the Unearth set at Download 2010.
Take a look at Metal Hammer’s review of the show!
Hey all, looking to play with Slo or Corey? We’re both on Full Tilt Poker and are always looking to play some poker with our readers. Look for Slo (screen name Slizzo) haunting the Poker Rush circuit, or find Corey (Betonblack30) mostly in the single and multi-table no-limit tournaments!

More news from the road! Slo and the boys from Unearth just tore up the main stage on the opening day of Download 2010 along with the likes of 36 Crazy Fists, Killswitch Engage and, yes, even AC/DC. The show was, according to Slo, “one of the best times of my life”. We’ll be seeing more from our traveling bassist when he gets back to the states. Until then, I’ll keep you posted on the goings-on with the band and much more.
For more on Unearth’s day at Download, take a peak at RockSound.tv for a recap featuring frontman Trevor Phipps.
News from the road. Unearth just finished up the dates in Asia and Australia and will be playing across Europe for the next few weeks. Here’s an updated from the official band site at unearth.tv:
This Friday, June 11 at 3 pm Unearth will hit the Main Stage at the legendary Download Festival on the Castle Donington grounds alongside AC/DC and Them Crooked Vultures. Find the entire Festival line up here- http://www.downloadfestival.co.uk/lineup/index.aspx
“We get to share the same stage as one of our collective all time favorite bands AC/DC as well as rock giants John Paul Jones, Dave Grohl and Josh Homme of Them Crooked Vultures. I would say it is an understatement to just say that is pretty damn cool,” said Unearth Frontman Trevor Phipps. ”Being part of that stage with those bands is a huge honor for us and is something we are looking forward to more than words can express.”
Tickets for the festival are still available and can be found here - http://www.downloadfestival.co.uk/tickets/index.aspx.
Hey all – did you know Slo started a gambling-inspired clothing line?
You didn’t?
Check it out on our Merch page – Po’ Boy Gamewear is the name, and the whole idea is for us to go crazy with cool designs meant for the gambler, sports fanatic, metal enthusiast, or just straight-up couch potato with a sense of style.
Some Unearth fans got lucky enough to pick up some shirts on the band’s most recent North American tour. Slo actually ran out of shirts by the end of the tour! Next time, we’ll make sure he brings less clothes for himself and more merch for you all to enjoy. Or just grab it online…we don’t mind either way…
Ok, I’ll play the part of the fanboy here. Anytime I catch wind that someone I’ve had the privilege of knowing or meeting gets a song on a video game, I’m impressed.
So, of course, I’ve got to take a moment and post this from the Unearth official site. It may be a few days old, but definitely worth a mention!
Unearth’s We Are Not Anonymous now available on Rock Band Network
